P&U at the Sports Digital Marketing Festival: spotlight on innovation
On 13-14 June 2018, we’ll be participating in the Sports Digital Marketing Festival, the first Italian vertical event on sports digital marketing in Italy. Christian Fasulo, CEO at Polk&Union will be speaking on innovation in the sports marketing communication; along with us, Ugo Esposito, CEO at kapusons.
We are going to share with an audience of experts and professionals EPOKA Group’s project: ikonfactor, the innovative integrated communication program, that has been specifically created to enhance the characteristics of athletes and sports clubs.
Sports digital marketing finally begins to conquer increasingly important spaces of discussion in Italy, too. To give an idea of what this means, according to MAGNA predictions, the FIFA World Cup and the Winter Olympics (together with the 2018 United States mid-term elections), could generate a 1% increase on world advertising spending. That’s right: we’re talking about 5 billion dollars of additional investments.
Sports – as well as sponsors – must adapt to a media landscape that changes at a brisk pace. New technologies and new consumer habits represent both a risk and an opportunity for sports clubs.
Teams and athletes can count on the Web and social media as powerful tools in terms of brand building and reputation. There’s no doubt about it: in a highly developed and competitive market, the management of personal image, as well as brand positioning of clubs and sports icons, require a strategic and forward-looking vision.
